We make use of a Google form for the game scores and spirit scores.
BOTH TEAMS must fill in this form IMMEDIATELY AFTER EACH GAME.
The Rules of LAFF
The WFDF rules apply with the following adaptations:
Games last 40 minutes or until one team has reached 15 points. When time is over: finish the point. Next point starts when a point is scored (walking back to the line and the pull are part of the next point).
If the score is equal after you have finished the point after the end signal: ‘cap + 1’, otherwise there is no cap. Examples:
- Time is over and score becomes 11 - 7: game is over.
- Time is over and score becomes 10 - 9: game is over.
- Time is over and score becomes 12 - 12: game till 13.
- Time isn't over and score becomes 15 - 6: game over.
- Time isn't over and score becomes 15 - 14: game over.
When two teams end up with the same points in a group, the result of the game between these two teams determines their ranking.
When three or more teams end up with the same points in a group, take the win-loss records, counting only games between the teams that are tied.
- Still equal? Take the point differentials, counting only games between the teams that are tied.
- Still equal? Say what? Take the point differentials, counting games against all common opponents.
- Still equal? You’ve got to be kidding me? Take the points scored, counting only games among the teams that are tied.
- Still equal? OK, that’s it! I’m out! Take the points scored, counting games against all common opponents.
Stall count
The stall count is ten (10) seconds.
Time-out
Every team has one time-out of two (2) minutes (time isn’t stopped during this time-out). No timeouts are allowed in the last five minutes.
Half-time
When the first team has reached a score of eight (8) half time is in effect and teams switch sides. Your team starts in the other end-zone than the one your team started in for the first point and the team that started in defence for the first point becomes offence after the half-time. There is no pause during half-time.
Brick rule
There is a brick mark at eight (8) meters in front of the endzone.
Jingles
Jingles will be played to inform you about the game time. The effect of the jingle occurs at the start of the concerning jingle, therefore not during or at the end of the jingle.
Gender rule
Mixed division: teams should always have at least two men and two women on the line. The gender of the fifth player on the line will be decided by “Ratio Rule B”. The other team must follow.
A7.2.1. At the start of the game, after the first disc flip, an additional disc flip happens with the winner selecting the gender ratio for the first point. For the second and third points the ratio must be the reverse of the first point. For the fourth and fifth points the ratio must be same as the first point. This pattern of alternating the ratio every two points repeats until the end of the game (half time has no impact on the pattern).
The pull has to happen by the gender that is most represented on the field.
Example: If three men are placed on the line a man has to pull. If three women are placed on the line a woman has to pull.
Still In Love (SIL) division:
This is a loose mixed division. That means one or two women on the line. The following rules apply:
A1.3.1. At the start of the game, after the first disc flip, an additional disc flip happens with the winner selecting which end zone is “End zone A”. At the start of each point the Team that is at End zone A must choose the gender ratio. This remains for the whole game, no change of zone at half time!
Exception: a team is allowed to put more than two women on the line, both when they can choose or need to follow. However, the opposing team is in that case not obligated to follow. Examples:
- Team A chooses one woman on the line. Team B has to follow with one or more women.
- Team A chooses two women on the line. Team B has to follow with two or more women.
- Team A puts three women on the line. Team B has to follow with at least two women.
